SWISS CHARD WITH GARLIC

FRY SOME GARLIC IN A SKILLET WITH VEGETABLE OIL THEN SET ASIDE

CUT THE THICK SHANK PART OF CHARD, WASH, DRAIN IN COLANDER AND COOK WITH
VEGETABLE OIL

THESE ARE THE GREENS CUT IN 3 INCH WIDE RIBBONS, WASH, RINSE AND DRAIN

ADD THE STEMS AND GREENS TOGETHER WITH THE GARLIC, SALT AND PEPPER TO TASTE
YOUR SKILLET SHOULD BE TO THE POINT OF ALMOST COMPLETELY FULL. DO NOT WORRY
IT WILL COOK DOWN QUITE QUICKLY. ALLOW TO COOK DOWN UNTIL ALL IS NICE AND TENDER.
TRANSFER TO SERVING DISH WITH A DRAINING SPOON .
HERE IS WHAT YOUR MEAL WILL LOOK LIKE WHEN DONE. SIMPLY DELICIOUS AND HEALTHY.
IT'S ENJOYED WITH A SPLASH OF VINEGAR OR A SPLASH OF HOT SAUCE.

This past week on the farm has been a relaxing week. We had brief periods of rain shower's for 4-5 days. Working in between the storms with our Farmers Market cancelled last week due to the storms.
Today we got all our order picked and our CSA's done. Tomorrow is Kaiser's Farmers Market should be a good day, weather forecast is a nice one. We have a total of 28 items we are currently harvesting. Not bad since its already December.
Today we had our CCOF inspection, it went well. This year we had a new inspector. Took her 2 hours to go over all of our paper work, and inspecting the farm. She enjoyed going out into our field and seeing how we operate.
This is the time of year we start our transplants in the hoop house for springtime.  Fennel, Chards, Kale, Broccoli, Cabbage, Chives, Lettuce and Mixed Herbs. In January we will start with Tomatoes' Peppers, and Eggplant.
I am new to blogging, not sure if anyone will even see this. But if you do, we thank you for taking of your time to read our farming blog.  I hope to start blogging every week. I will post recipes and pictures of the farm. Can I get some feedback on my blogging.  Thanks Mike
