This past week has been a busy one for us. We are still planting Cabbage, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Lettuce, mixed Asian veggies and more. With the holiday's approaching things slow down alittle for us. Time to relfect and make decisions on what to plant for next season. This is our 1st year growing Asparagus, we planted 400 plants, we plan on doubling that for next year. This past year we had to give up one of our Farmers Markets. Hard to do, but we needed more time for family and the farm. Sure do miss our customers, alot of great relationships were developed in our 3 year's there. So now we just do our weekly market at Kaiser Permenmente Hospital. Our CSA and a few local resturants.
We had alot of extra ground this past year and planted Sudan Grass on it. We did alittle over 2 tons per acre. This fall we planted 34 acres of Alfalfa in addition to our 3 acres for Veggies. That's all we need to farm to keep Sandie and I busy.
This is my 1st time blogging with the Blogger as I get more into it I will start to blog more frequent and show more pics of the farm. To see some of our farm visit our website at www. smithsfamilyorganicfarm.com
“It has been great to know that there is someone out there that knows about falling down and getting back up. We always stay humble and never give up, and for the help of Mr Benjamin lee of getting me Loan from his firm to expand my business, at a pivotal time. The support I received from his loan firm was quite honest and an interesting low rate in return, Mr Benjamin Lee is a loan officer working with a group of investors which are willing to fund any type of business or give loan for personal use as long as their repayment is guaranteed.
